Përmet (or Permet) is a city in the south-eastern part of Albania, located about 30 km from the border with Greece, 240 meters above sea level with an area of 120 hectares, including 99,000 square meters of green area.
The district of Përmet is located in the heart of the Vjosa valley (Vjosa) and is surrounded by wonderful mountains characterized by particular flora and fauna.
According to Turkish historical data dating back to the 15th and 16th centuries, the city was created as an administrative center and was a place full of markets, bars, shops and inns, which over time made it a commercial area. This quiet city, which today has around 12,000 inhabitants, was considered an unofficial capital of the country during the communist regime.
